I think that littering is not an appropriate thing to do because when people do it, it can have a huge effect on alot of things. When people litter animals can get caught up in it, and maybe even try to eat it and choke on it. So the next time you think about throwing something out you window just wait until you get home.

Littering is a very harmfull thing to do. It not only harms the planet but the life on the planet as well. The litter can pollute the land or water. It can cause many problems later too, such as ditch water blockage. Any animal could mistake the piece of litter for food, and can choke on it. Even though it may be a small piece of trash, it along with other litter can cause major destruction.
ReplyDeleteLittering is very wrong to do and an illegal thing to do. Even if what you throw out is decomposable it is still not good to do it. Littering pollutes our land and water, runuing our enviroment.

If we do a simple thing like littering, we may not think much about it but it can have a huge effect on the enviornment. Some effects of littering are harming animals and polluting our water ways. None of these effects are positive so just control yourself and don't litter.

I worked for Keep America Beautiful for 6 years. I have picked up more litter and organized more clean ups of illegal dumps than I can count. I think everyone who is caught littering should be required to do a month of Saturdays cleaning up litter. It is so gross, it would stop ANYONE!
ReplyDeleteLittering is a growing problem and I think that now its at an all time high! By littering we are showing that we dont really care about the Earth. The effects litter has on the Earth is horrible so by simply picking up a piece of paper out of the road helps in decreasing the litter.

ReplyDeleteLittering is an illegal and a disgusting thing to do. Just the other day I was at the mall parking lot and a guy drove by and threw a Wendys cup out the window. I was soo mad that he did that. I even said sonething to my dad in the seat next to me. Littering is a very bad thing to do it can kill animals if they swallow it.
ReplyDeleteLittering is pointless and very bad. It can be harmful for environments and for any animal. I watched a show where someone's house smelled bad. The people ended pulling up the floor and found that the contractors had a whole bunch of trash under the house. It doesn't only hurt animals but it can cause a problem to humans.
ReplyDeleteLittering is nothing, nothing but negativity toward our Earth. It not only destroys our Earth, but it doesn't set a good example to others. But the fact of "littering" biodegradable products such as fruit and vegetables is different. "Littering" an apple core is bad looking and should be done in a compost pile and not on the side of the road or street.

ReplyDeleteI believe that littering is a dangerous act that can cause severe sickness in rare cases and death a quite a few animals. Littering is a big problem that should probably be stopped as soon as possible. It causes choking from digestion or getting wrung around an animals neck. It also just doesn't look pretty in any way shape or form.
ReplyDeleteI believe that littering is a GREAT example of the ignorance in which our society holds. Many of us believe that someone else will pick up the mess that we have created. I wish that as a country we could all be more like Mrs. Moss and work to "Keep America Beautiful". Every little bit helps and if everyone would do their part we could take this silly issue off of the list of problems dealing with our Earth.
